Well, well , well even though 55% of voters didnt want to see Myers and Pinhead face-off that means 45% want to see the horror that would be 'HELLOWEEN'.
Celluloid Shockers writes, "We recently got back from Collectormania in the UK where we ran in to our buddy 'The Boogieboy' who recently chatted with Doug (Pinhead) Bradley. During their conversation the subject of 'Michael Myers Vs Pinhead' was discussed. This is what the Boogie Boy told us:
"I had a chat with Doug about Michael vs Pinhead he told me "it is 100% in the works"
He also asked me what I thought about it I said "do it right, Freddy vs Jason had a good meaning for them the match up"
He said "Michael Myers is a mass murderer, sexually perverted and a complete maniac so thats the right mixture (in pinheads voice) for pinhead to sow his seeds of torment."
Sources say that they have been planning Helloween since 1995! Obviously they could have some ideas which could work. Either this is all bullshit so that the majority will change their mind and relish in the idea of a Myers Vs Pinhead or its actually true in which case as long as the story is good I wont argue. However something tells me that this is just a cash in and has been in talks since the profit made by Freddy Vs Jason rather than 1995.
Thanks to Bloody Disgusting for this news.

The voting is now over on halloweenmovies.com for the whole idea of a Michael Vs Pinhead movie. There were over 80,000 votes and the results are as follows:
NO 55%
YES 45%
Execs have taken the results into account and are discussing the future Halloween movie as we speak. "In my own opinion there is nothing to discuss. The majority of people (along with me) dont want this movie to happen. Stop the pain!"

Thankfully Dimension Films has denied 'any' talk about the concept of a Halloween remake, so have those at John Carpenter's office. (rumor had it that Dimension was going to offer Carpenter an opportunity to direct the movie update).
However, according to Creature-corner.com "Sandy King (Carpenter's wife/producer) was indeed contacted by Dimension only they weren't calling for a Halloween remake. Dimension had actually approached them about the Michael Myers meets Pinhead film with Barker writing and Carpenter directing."
Sandy King admittedly said though, that this pairing would be unlikely but, "Carpenter is a great fan of Barker's and the one thing that might tempt him would be if Barker signed on and had a great script idea."
"So when the Corner reported that Dimension was brewing up a plan to partner up with Carpenter for a Halloween remake...was it just a ruse to throw us off the trail of a Myers vs. Pinhead scoop? Eh, who really knows and, at this point, who really cares?"

OH THANKYOU!!
After checking up on Creature Corner again today this new news has been posted:
Moviehole put a the major smackdown today on the news posted by Creature-Corner last week about a possible Halloween remake, "The last week or so there has been a god awful rumour floating about that Dimension are preparing to remake the first Halloween, in turn starting the series from scratch re-introducing [not to mention re-casting] the characters of Dr Loomis, Laurie Strode and of course, Michael Myers. Moviehole heard from one of the studios decision makers today who says that there iss no such plan. "There are no plans to remake Halloween that rumour was incorrect," he tells. Instead, the studio is pushing forward with the latest "Halloween" instalment, and you can vote on the idea over at Halloweenmovies.com. (Michael vs. Pinhead?) Michael wont be back on screen for quite a while we're told, but when he does, it'll be in the form of some sort of sequel not a remake."
Thanks to Creature Corner and Moviehole.net for this news.

I didnt think I would ever have to say "Wow what a bad move" but wow what a bad move! Moustapha Akkad and team are considering making Haloween 9 "Michael Vs Pinhead. There is now a poll online to vote whether you want this to happen or not. I voted NO. I think that would suck, not just because im not a big Hellraiser fan but because they are clearly running out of ideas for the Halloween franchise. Im also totally against a remake of the original! Something I would like to see is Michael Vs Freddy or Michael Vs Jason. I think the fans need to be heard and I urge everyone to contact www.halloweenmovies.com with their views.

Im sad to say The Myers Museum is now closed! It was a great site ran by a true fan of Halloween so it's unfortunate that webmaster Antony Masi no longer has time to run the site, However all his efforts are being put into HalloweenMovies.com and hes going to add a lot of the Museum stuff right onto there which should be cool.

Hey guys and girls I was on Creature Corner earlier and check out this news snippet I found:
"EXCLUSIVE: WHAT'S THE WORST HALLOWEEN NEWS YOU COULD THINK OF?
Tell me, have you heard the latest rumor about Dimension's Halloween 9? Oh, it's a doozy: Sean Cunningham is supposedly directing it. But that rumor, which originated on the IMDB, has already been quashed. So has that other annoying piece of news that Alan McElroy (who penned Halloween 4 and Wrong Turn) was returning on scripting duties.
Forget all that bullshit.
Sources inside and outside of Dimension Films have informed Creature-Corner that the genre production house responsible for the Halloween franchise from part 6 and on is reportedly throwing in exorbitant amounts of money to bring series creator John Carpenter back into the foldto remake the film that started it all.
Dimension is seeking to have Carpenter draft and direct a Halloween update rather than further the new stream of continuity built in H20 and carried on into Halloween: Resurrection. They want to start from scratch. Re-introduce Laurie Strode, Dr. Loomis, and Michael Myers to a new generation of audiences apparently believed to be (by the studio execs) "video store deprived."
Essentially the same mentality that made the 2003 remake of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre a reality.
Whether Carpenter will take the bait or not is still to be determined, but at least you know, dear readers, that Dimension is working towards this goal. They're putting the energy into the idea. ake this as rumor but our sources are too damn close to Dimension's doors to doubt them. These are the same folks who brought us word on Carpenter and Debra Hill's proposed remake of The Fog last year. They're also the ones who gave us the heads-up on Dimension's fast-tracked Myers vs. Pinhead project (and no the source isn't Dave Parker) so if you choose to remain a skeptic, so be it. We don't blame you. Experience and history has taught us though that this town is absolutely batty, I'm not going to shrug this news off as a hollow rumor.
Regarding that remake of The Fog: While we haven't heard about much movement on the project other than the fact that Hill and Carpenter are still looking for someone to fund the script, we have heard more plot details. Apparently the premise doesn't involve a ship of ghost lepers who use the shroud of a fog bank to wreak their revenge, this remake sounds more like an update and involves a band of slaughteredget thisgang members (!) who stalk their victims in the fog.
This makes one wonder: If Carpenter gave The Fog a more modern spin indicative of the times, would this mean he'd give Halloween a completely fresh jive to capture the movie-going youth of today? Perhaps not set Halloween in Haddonfield, but in the hood? You balk at the idea now but you also probably laughed with your friends about how crazy someone would have to be to have the balls to remake the film.
Should this news become official, remember where you heard it first. And keeping checking back in with us for more details."
Thanks to creaturecorner.com for this news.
